Banks across the country will be closed on three days next week - April 2 ( yearly closing), April 5 ( Mahavir Jayanti) and April 6 ( Good Friday). Net banking and ATM operations will continue, so basic banking operations will not be interrupted, bank officials said.
To further limit inconvenience in the first week of the month, State Bank of India said all its branches would work full day on Saturday. The Indian Banks Association has called a meeting of its members on Friday to discuss if any additional measures will be required to ensure customers are not affected.
