Larsen & Toubro said its L&T Construction has secured new orders for Rs1,454 crore across various business segments in February and March 2012
Its Water and Effluent Treatment business unit has secured new orders worth Rs579 crore from the Tamil Nadu Water Supply & Drainage Board for taking up combined water supply scheme in Salem and Vellore districts.
The Power Transmission & Distribution IC has secured new orders in both domestic and international markets from reputed customers. Domestic orders worth Rs351 crore include construction of an electrical balance of plant works for a 2 x 660 MW super thermal power plant from a leading developer and another order from Gulbarga Electricity Supply Co. Ltd. under RAPDRP (Part-B) scheme for various electrical works in Gulbarga and Bidar districts in Karnataka. International orders are valued at Rs320 crore for construction of a 132/11kV substation in Kuwait.
In Building & Factories IC, additional orders worth Rs204 crore have been bagged from various ongoing projects.....more info
