Shares of RPP Infra Projects rose over 8%, touching the weekly high of Rs71.85, after the company said it bagged orders worth Rs 30 crore in the irrigation and building sector in Tamil Nadu.
RPP Infra Projects said the latest work order includes construction of a library building for Central Library Buildings at Thiruvarur, Tamil Nadu. Another order is for rehabilitation and modernisation of supply channels in Vellore and Villupuram Districts in Tamil Nadu. The company said the orders shall be completed in 12 months.
Meanwhile, RPP Infra Projects said that it successfully completed its Sri Lankan Railway project. The cost of project was 235 million Sri Lankan Rupees.
On a consolidated basis, RPP Infra Projects' net profit rose 0.8% to Rs5.27 crore on 9.2% fall in net sales to Rs57.67 crore in Q3 December 2011 over Q3 December 2010.
