Tata Motors has tied up with the US-based A123 for the supply of lithium ion battery packs for Tata Motors' hybrid commercial vehicles. A press release from A123 says that the company would deliver complete systems that include robust battery management electronics, and the compact form factor of the prismatic cells enables A123 to design “highly-scalable battery packs that are intended to seamlessly configure to Tata's hybrid electric powertrain architecture”.
