BGR awarded contract worth Rs 1855 crore for supply of 2 X 660 MW Super- critical Boilers from NTPC– Positive for BGR
BGR Energy Systems has received letter of award from Meja Urja Nigam ( JV of NTPC and UPRVUNL) for supply of 2 X 660 MW Super - critical Boilers to be set up at Meja in Uttar Pradesh.
The order is valued at Rs1855 crore (Euro 109.79 million plus Rupee component of Rs1121 crore). This works out to a realization of Rs1.41 crore per MW.
The contract provides for price variation and foreign exchange variation risk is fully protected.
The execution period of the contract is 48 months.
View: In April 2012, the company received the Letter of Award for supply of 2 X 660 MW Super-critical Boilers for Rs1855 crore to be set up at Solapur in Maharashtra. The Letter of Award for Raghunathpur for 2 supercritical boiler is expected during this month.
