In a second open letter to the government, India Inc has attempted to address issues like policy paralysis. The key points discussed in the letter are land, judicial, electoral and police reforms and measures to curtail corruption. China, who was one of the corporate leaders who lent a hand in framing this letter, said that the purpose of the letter was to create public awareness and pressure on legislation.
Godrej explains, “We wanted to create a public debate and a sense of pressure on legislators in the Centre and the State that we need to move on this agenda.” He further adds that the fact that the government is debating these issues is a good sign.
