On a special trading session today, the Indian markets started the trade on a positive note and then turned volatile.

Among 13 sectors, losers were — BSE FMCG down by 0.11%, BSE Bankex down by 0.05% and BSE Metal down by 0.04%. Top gainers — BSE PSU up by 0.73%, BSE CG up by 0.51% and BSE Realty up by 0.49%.

Among 30 Sensex stocks, major gainers — DLF up by 1.52%, Tata Power up by 0.98% and L&T up by 0.80%. Top losers — JP Associates down by 1.98%, Sterlite down by 0.84% and ICICI Bank down 0.58%.
