Shares of Hero MotoCorp jumped nearly 3%, touching the weekly high of Rs1978.80, after total sales rose 11.52% to 5,20,272 units in January 2012 over January 2011
The company sold 4,66,524 units in January, 2011, it said in a statement.
'We have made a good beginning to the new year with our January performance. We are pleased with the trend of five lakh-plus unit sales every month for the past six months and we are confident of building further on these numbers,' Hero MotoCorp Senior Vice-President (Marketing and Sales) Anil Dua said.
