IT infrastructure solutions firm, HCL Infosystems has launched three new tablets at prices starting Rs7,999. The company had launched its first tablet - Me Tab - last year at Rs10,990.
'It has been customised to make it Indian at heart... the best part about it is the HCL touch which is the after sales service network,' Gautam Advani, executive vice president (mobility head) at HCL Infosystems said.
HCL Infosystems has 15% market share in the tablet PC business. The tablet market is expected to grow to over 20-lakh units by 2013. HCL Infosystems plans to export tablets to Africa, Gulf nations and developing nations.
The company will also bid for the 'Aakash II' tender if prices are feasible.
