NTPC said its capacity addition in the last fiscal was 2,820 MW.
The company had added 2,490 MW in 2010-11 and its total capacity now is over 37,000 MW.
In FY 12, NTPC brought on stream two units of 660 MW at Sipat (Chhattisgarh), 500 MW units each in Jhajjar ( Haryana), Simhadri ( Andhra Pradesh) and Vallur ( Tamil Nadu).
The company said in a statement that it added 9,610 MW during the 11th Plan against the target of 9,220 MW.
The total installed capacity of NTPC is 37,014 MW with 15 coal-based, seven gas-based power stations and seven joint venture/subsidiary power projects.
It is currently working on over 14,000-MW new capacities and plans to become a 128,000-MW plus company by 2032.
