Jaiprakash Associates' shares gained nearly 3%, touching the day's high of Rs81.80, after the company said it won two contracts worth an aggregate Rs 913 crore from Mangdechhu Hydroelectric Project Authority in Bhutan.
Jaiprakash Associates said the latest contract calls for construction of the two contract packages concerning 720 megawatts Mangdechhu Hydroelectric Project in Bhutan. The first order worth Rs597 crore is for diversion tunnel, dam, spillway and coffer dams, intake structure, intake tunnels, branch HRT, SFT, branch SFT, adit to desilting chambers, adit to GOC of DC, GOC of DC, adit to GOC of SFT, GOC of SFT, vertical shaft and two desilting chambers.
The second contract worth Rs316 crore is for surge shaft, two pressure shafts, bifurcation pressure shaft and intermediate adits, main access tunnel to power house including portal, approach adit to transformer cavern, approach adit to pressure shafts bottom, construction of adits to power house and transformer cavern crown including portals and plugs, cable cum ventilation tunnel, underground power house and transformer caverns including bus duct, pothead year, TRT, branch tunnel and outlet portals for TRT.
